Denzel Washington Oscar Academy Award-winning actor is in talks to star in the crime thriller Little Things for Warner Bros Collider has confirmed. The director John Lee Hancock is on board to write. He’s also being eyed to steer, although the deal for which hasn’t yet been closed. The Highwaymen will debut later this month on Netflix, has written the script and will probably direct.

The story follows a burned-out Kern County deputy sheriff named Deke, played by Washington. A burned cop up is in Kern County who teams with Baxter. A crack detective is from the LA Sheriff’s Department, to grab a serial killer. Deke’s nose for the little things, proves eerily accurate. But his compliance to evade the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma.

Deke has problems of his own, as he is haunted by a dark secret from his past. Insiders tell Variety that Washington had been weighing several options as his next project, including directing the Journal of Jordan Sony pictures, which Michael B. Jordan lately joined. The studio would love to start production this summer, but a lot of A list of actors have already filled their summer slots.
